I updated the course/group admin role templates as well as the course/group admin roles (and also clicked the "apply to existing objects" check box in the permission block for the respective content type).
I think I found the issue. It's an issue of mind, not of code.
For the BigBlueButton plugin, for example, I see these permissions:
BigBlueButton Virtual Classroom is visible
Read access to Bigbluebutton Virtual Classroom
Edit Bigbluebutton Virtual Classroom
Delete Bigbluebutton Virtual Classroom
Change permission settings
Nothing about "create" here. I know skipped through all the permissions once more and found:
Create Bigbluebutton Virtual Classroom
under "Groups" and "Folders" several scollwheel turns below.
I think this solves the issue, will test it tomorrow. Also, thanks a lot for your hint regarding mass-adding permissions to selected roles.
