Dear Ilias-Community,
i have already read some threads about this topic but couldn't find a solution for myself.
While Creating a new ILIAS-Client it says:
"Database can't be reached. Please check the credentials and if database exists-"
In the following you can see the input of the Database connection fields:
Database Type: MySQL 5.5x or higher (InnoDB engine)
Database host: localhost
Database: ilias
Database user: root
Database Port: 3306
I have also tried other users with the necessary rights (Followed the official installation guide).
All the listed information do exist (doublechecked the existence of the users and databases).
Furthermore i am able to log into mysql client via linux terminal (mysql -u root -p ilias). But unfortunately the ILIAS-Setup-Client can't find my database.
The client.ini.php file in the directory ../data/iliasClient wasn't created yet, obviously because the database couldn't be reached yet.
I appreciate all your ideas that can help.
