Administration - Installation - Core: Ilias SOAP authentication

Hi,

I'm using the latest ILIAS 5.2.5 version. I would like to integrate ILIAS in my own web frontend with my own user management. As far as I know the SOAP authentication mechanism could be a goold solution for this.

I configured and enabled SOAP authentication in the administration section of the ILIAS web page. The test request works as it should. And now I would expect the following to work:

1. If I login to the Ilias web site with the Ilias login page, an external SOAP request is used to query the user credentials. But that is not the case.


2. In my own frontend I create a link to Ilias and append 'ext_uid' and 'soap_pw' parameters. When the user clicks on this link, Ilias will make an external SOAP request to query the user credentials. This does also not work.

So all in all I can enable, configure and test the SOAP authentication. But nothing more seems to work for me. What do I miss here?
