Administration - Installation - Core: Re(8): Database Connection: database cant be reached

I was facing very simular problem with Mariadb 10.4 caused by missing of php-mysqlnd.
To communicate with MySQL 8 session over ilias, php-mysqlnd instead of php-mysql is required, that I think.
