Hi all,
Additional maxima packages are supported by the newest plugin version for ILIAS 5.3 with the STACK 4 core:
https://github.com/ilifau/assStackQuestion/tree/master-ilias53
But a configuration of additional packages in the plugin would only affect the command line use of maxima directly. When you set up a maximapool server, then you have to copy the extended configuration to it.
The maximapool is a stateless service for ILIAS. A loadbalancing can be set up in different ways also for a non-dockerized pools on different servers, e.g. with a reverse proxy. We already had the idea to integrate a simple distribution of maxima calls directly into the ILIAS plugin - to separate those for running a test from those for editing questions and viewing results. It would also allow multiple pools for each purpose being chosen randomly. This would make the setup of an extra load balancing solution unneccessary.
Best regards
Fred
